Exploring Mars From Missouri
Alicia Dwyer Cianciolo is an aerospace engineer in the Atmospheric Flight and Entry Systems Branch at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. She develops simulations of spacecraft in atmospheric flight, designs planetary missions and identifies technology investments to enable future missions. She is a member of the team that will land the InSight mission on Mars in November, 2018. Thanks to high speed internet, she is able to work from home in Lee's Summit, where she lives with her husband and four children. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Creighton University and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University.
Alicia will talk about the InSight mission and other Mars missions she's worked on.
